Juicing with Turmeric

Posted on March 17, 2017 by Kate

After whining about not being able to find turmeric root (although I hadn’t exactly gone out my way to find it), a friend who regularly goes to her local market picked me up a couple of roots for me. Having read a lot about the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric, I wanted to give it a try to help sooth my gut as much as possible.

I am not one for making fruity juices often, but I thought I would give this a go and I must say it is yummy, although do beware as turmeric stains – I would recommend that you drink it with a straw. Oranges for some Vitamin C (and a sugar rush), turmeric for anti-inflammatories and cucumber to cleanse.

I do love a good spicy juice, but for those trying to bridge the gap, this is a great way to do so. Plus, it’s super bright and gold in colour.

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 inch turmeric root
  • 2 inches cucumber
